Dublin is not the best place for cocktails, with its rivers of Guinness and Irish wisky, but still it is possible to find some good Martini spots. One is the Mint Bar at the Westin Hotel: once the caveau of a bank, the bar is a rather large and confortable lounge where middle and upperclass Dubliners meet for drinks and music. I happened to be there in a night dedicated to the band Take That, which was giving a concert on the same night in town and the atmosphere was a bit too much “I-love-Robbie-Williams”, but still quite enjoyable… They propose seven cocktails created by the seven young bartenders working in the house, the Martini was good but not cold enough.
