Pharmarium, Stockholm

Pharmarium is, according to the Google oracle, one of the best cocktail bars in Stockholm. I tried it, and it is actually very true. Placed in a small square in Gamla Stan (old town) in front of the Nobel Museum, the bar occupies the same building where once stood Stockholm’s first pharmacy, opened in 1575.

The bar actually looks like an 18th century apothecary but without overdoing: it is classy but casual, with very good music and ambience, both inside and in the terrace. The cocktail menu is quite cool, with a few signature cocktails around the theme of “The Modern Garden” and a very creative use of some inspiring few words for every cocktail. Martini cocktail was very good, chilled and served with both a lemon twist and some olives on the side, for you to chose. All in all, an unforgettable evening. Classic Martini rate: 8.
